CabDriver Cupid Hails His First Marriage Proposal
No one anticipates their future marriage proposal will begin with the meter running....unless of course they've just stepped into the cab of driver Ahmed Ibrahim. Not quite your conventional cupid, this dedicated matchmaker trades in a diaper and arrows for a cruising cab and a canny sense of his patrons' compatibility.
After four years of match making, Mr. Ibrahim has just achieved the amazing: his first engagement. After a courtship of brownies, Monets and exotic bouquets, Crystal Ingrovaia and Tabber Benedict are engaged to be married, courtesy of Mr. Ibrahim. After an elaborate marriage proposal at New York's ritzy Per Se restaurant, Mr. Ibrahim met the happy couple for champagne at the Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center to celebrate their engagement.
"They acted like the whole night was about me," Mr. Ibrahim said, "I said forget about me. Look at that ring!" Congratulations to the happy couple and their unique meet cute.
