Now that you've delivered your bridesmaid gifts, it's time to start planning on what to do with your own wedding gifts. Of course, if you get an awesome set of copper pots, you'll know exactly where they go. I'm talking more about the endless stack of wedding cards... trust me, you'll get a ton of them.
Wedding cards are small, beautiful wedding mementos that represent a message of love from your family and friends. All too often I hear from brides that their wedding cards just gather dust in some shoebox... that is if the cards didn't fall into the wrong hands and were taken out with the weekly recycling. Don't toss these pieces of art into some forgotten place. Here are a few ideas for preserving your wedding cards.
Photo Collage Frame
As one of the more simple methods of preservation, you can frame your favorite cards in a photo collage frame. You can see in this example made by Carol from Dunedin, FL, the black boarder around each picture hole in the frame matte has a dark boarder. This allows for a classic and elegant look for piece that might have looked cluttered with so many different card colors.
If your big day would have never happened without your closest ladies, use a Thank You For Being My Bridesmaid Card to be the centerpiece for a picture collage as added bridesmaid gifts.
Frame Your Own Collage
This example from Beautiful Work is a work of art that's worthy of preserving. If you look closely, you can see the larger cards are used as background to the frame, and smaller cutouts are layered to add depth.
You can also try this style with a shadow box lined with some of the wedding favors like these Shining Sails Silver Place Card Holders.
